BLADE COLOR

Our blades are illuminated by powerful LEDs that are capable of displaying a wide spectrum of colors. This section lists the parameters of all standard saber blade colors and how to modify them.

Color Profiles - Neo CFX Saber

Colors are displayed using 3-channel RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) LEDs, and the individual values range from 0 (Off) to 1023 (Maximum Brightness).

Changing the blade color on a Neo CFX Saber is performed through a function called Spectrum.

How to access Spectrum:

Ignite the blade.

Hold the auxiliary switch then immediately press & release the activation switch.

While in Spectrum, hold the saber vertically out in front of you, then tilt the saber left & right as if turning the hand of a clock.

Notice
If the selection function is not working properly, please ensure that the ACT is either facing towards or away from you. This is to ensure that the gyroscope in your CFX soundboard is optimally oriented for accurate tilt detection.

All Neo CFX Sabers come preconfigured with 16 Color Profiles that are optimized for Neo Blades. The grid below lists the names and RGB values of each one.

For example, the profile for Yellow breaks down like this:

Red = 1023 (Max Brightness)

Green = 750 (73% Brightness)

Blue = 0 (Off)

White = 0 (Off)

Notice
The 4th value is for the White channel. It is set to 0 by default because the Neo Blade's LEDs do not have a 4th channel.

Editing Blade Colors

To change the default blade color for a sound font, open the sound font folder, find and open 'font_config.txt' with a text editor, then change the value for 'start_color'.

You can find/edit every Color Profile in the 'color.txt' file located in the ROOT directory of your saber’s microSD card.

View 'The microSD Card' to learn more

The 'color.txt' file contains parameters not discussed in this section. To learn more, refer to the Advanced Color Customization page linked below.

Notice
Altering a Color Profile will change the blade color of every sound font that uses it.

Go to the 'Advanced Color Customization' page to learn more about Neo CFX Blade Profiles and Neo Proffie blade color customization.
